Instructions

Step 1

To make this delicious homemade guacamole choose a medium-sized mixing bowl. With a sharp knife, cut open the avocados lengthwise and remove the pit. Scoop out the flesh with a spoon and put it in the bowl.

You can use a potato masher or just a fork to mash the avocados gently. If you like, you can leave it a little bit chunky.

Step 2

Once mashed, add the cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, salt, and one tablespoon of fresh lemon juice. If you want the mixture to be smoother and paste-like, use a masher while mixing the spices.

If you prefer the combination to be chunkier, mix the spices with a rubber spatula until all the spices are well combined.

Step 3

Deseed the tomatoes and slice them nicely. Chop the fresh cilantro. Add the tomato slices and half of the chopped cilantro to the mixture and stir until combined.

Step 4

Slice up the jalapenos into chunks. You can slice them into four vertical pieces and then mince them. Pulse the jalapenos and the reserved cilantro coarsely three times. You can also mash them if you want. Chop the red onion into a fine dice. Add them to the bowl. And give the ingredients a nice mix.
