Super Easy Shrimp Dip Recipe

  • 400grams pink shrimp (cooked, shelled, small)
  • 250grams cream cheese (softened to room temperature)
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 3tablespoons chili sauce
  • 2tablespoons parsley (finely chopped, fresh )
  • 1/4 cup scallions (sliced)
  • 1teaspoon lemon zest (finely grated)
  • black pepper (freshly ground , to taste)
  • chives (sliced, to garnish)

Dips with creamy and cheesy textures are very popular appetizers with many variations. Shrimp dip is the most interesting option for those who love seafood. It is a savory side with tasty little pieces of shrimp sprinkled with fresh chopped chives. 

There are two different ways of preparing shrimp dip, hot or cold. If you love the feeling of melted cheese, you better choose the hot one. But you may like your shrimp dip filled with cream cheese and mayo, which in this case, it will be cold. Just mix the ingredients, put them in the fridge and serve with crackers whenever you want right out of the fridge. Easy peasy!

It is absolutely a perfect appetizer for serving at holiday parties. Be sure that your guests are gonna love you even more plus you don’t need much time to prepare this delicious dip. It takes only 10 minutes!


Step 1

Pick a medium bowl, add in the cream cheese and mayonnaise, beat them together until smooth. Add the lemon juice, lemon zest, chili sauce, and mix again until well combined.

Step 2

Now it’s time to prepare the shrimp. Combine the cooked and shelled shrimp with the cream cheese mixture in a food processor.cream cheese mixture and pulse together. Each pulse should take one second.

If you don’t like to use a food processor, you can just chop up the shrimp. Be careful not to chop them too small! Then, mix the medium chopped shrimps with the cream cheese mixture.

Step 3

Pour the mixture into your serving bowl and stir in the scallions and parsley. Cover your shrimp dip and chill for at least an hour before serving. Garnish with freshly chopped chives and serve with potato chips, crackers, or crudité.
