Granola is a nutritious homemade cereal. this is the best recipe for Granola! Add anything you like: nuts, seeds, dried fruits, nut butter, coconut milk, chocolate chips, etc. Or, you may prefer our simple, crunchy, and perfectly sweet version.

This Granola recipe contains rolled oats, the only food that lowers cholesterol. Cholesterol is a major health concern. Beta-glucans in it help lower cholesterol. As one of the iron cuts (three-in-one fat metabolizing and cutting formulas), oats release their energy at a slower rate, enabling you to stay full for longer.

This Granola recipe also has nuts (you can add seeds to it if you like). Here is the recipe!

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 300° f / 150° c.

Step 2

Pour all the wet ingredients into the blender and set aside.

Step 3

Chop up the seeds. So once those are chopped up, put all the dry ingredients into a large bowl. Mix the oat, seeds, almonds, sea salt (to kick up the flavor), and cinnamon. Once you’ve got all that in, there give it a quick stir.

Step 4

Blend up all the ingredients (blend dry ingredients along with the wet you put through the blender). Blend until it’s nice and smooth. then, combine the wet and the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. You want to mix this up well because you don’t want any dry pieces of oats going into the oven.

Step 5

Once you’ve got that mixed well, get out a baking sheet (you can use a silicone sheet on top because they are nonstick and reusable, but parchment paper would work as well). Spread the ingredients with the back of a big spoon. Make sure it’s even in one sort of solid piece. Make sure it’s as thin on the surface as it is on the outside.

Step 6

Put it in the oven at 300° f.

Step 7

Check it after 20 minutes. You can see the outside starting to brown. Mix it all up and break it up a little bit here. Place the parts that were on the outside and turning brown towards the center. Place the centerpieces on the outside. Once you’re satisfied with that, you should bake it a little bit more in the oven. Check on them every 15 to 20 minutes after that.

Step 8

As soon as it starts to turn golden brown, you want to pull it out. Spread it out. Let it cool evenly. You’ll probably still taste a bit of moisture in it if you taste it here. As it cools, it gets drier and crispier, so do not put it back in the oven. That’s all you need to do. Put it in a container. Grab some nice fresh raisins and fire those in there as well. It adds another layer of sweetness.

Cooking Notes

You can always soak your dates in water ahead of time if your blender is not strong enough.

Oats taste best when mashed with the back of a spoon. As a result, those oats get nice and saturated with the delicious date mixture you added.
