Slice the chicken in the form of strips, season them with pepper and salt as  needed and  set them aside. Keep in mind that the size of chicken breasts ranges from 140 – 280gr, which can impact the overall cooking time. Here, we use smaller breasts in the recipe to make the cooking faster.

Heat a large frying pan over medium heat along with oil. Add mushrooms and onions and fry them in the hot fat for about 5 minutes. Next, add garlic and keep cooking them for more than 30 seconds.

Now add the chicken broth to the frying pan along with the cream cheese and stir them as long as the cheese melts and mixes well. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese all over the pan, reduce the heat, and cover it to let it cook for around 3 minutes. If you like, you can add salt and pepper for more seasoning.

In case you don’t have any chicken broth on hand, use vegetable broth or water instead. The mozzarella cheese can also be substituted with Parmesan if you prefer.
