Ingredients

  • 10 gramsSprats in oil (drained)
  • 3Fresh quail eggs
  • 10 grams Peeled garlic (crushed)
  • 1 teaspoonMustard
  • 2 tablespoonsWorcestershire sauce
  • 50 millilitresGrapeseed oil
  • 1/4 teaspoonFreshly ground black pepper
  • 600 grams Romaine lettuce leaves (separated from biggest to smallest)
  • small handfulDill
  • 1 tablespoonChopped chives (longish pieces)
  • 240 grams Caraway Cheese (cubed)
This favorable caraway cheese salad only takes 10 minutes to put together and is a refreshing change from lettuce-based salads. It’s great as a starter course or lighter eating. 
Caraway Cheese Salad recipe is easy to follow, easily adjustable, and uses a handful of ingredients: lettuce, good quality Caraway cheese, chives, Fresh quail eggs, and dill. The dressing is made with Sprats in oil, Grapeseed oil, mustard, and seasoned with garlic and pepper.

Instructions

Step 1

Put the sprats, eggs, and garlic in a blender. Add Worcestershire sauce and mustard. A process on low speed until mixing well. While the blender is on low speed, gently pour the oil until you get a mayonnaise type thickness. Season with pepper and mix again; set aside.

Step 2

Transfer lettuce leaves to a serving plate. Pour the sauce over the lettuce then sprinkle with chives and dill.

Step 3

Prepare a pan, and put it on high heat. When the pan becomes hot, add the caraway cheese. Fry, until it begins to turn golden on all sides. Sprinkle over the lettuce. Now your wonderful salad is ready to serve! Enjoy!

Cooking Notes

You can use mild olive oil instead of grape seed oil.
