Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400 ºF (200 ºC) and heat a large pot of water over high heat for the pasta.

Step 2

With a sharp knife, dice the white onion, green bell pepper, and garlic into tiny pieces. Put a pan on the stove. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil and add all the minced vegetables plus corn in it. Let them sauté for 5 minutes till they get soft and caramelized.

It is time to add the shrimps. First, you should peel and wash them. Add the shrimps into the pan on medium heat, season with ground nutmeg, smoked paprika, and ground mustard. Stir, let the dish cook for another 6-7 minutes. Remember to divide the time between each side of the shrimps. You don’t want your shrimps to be overcooked. Add a teaspoon of salt and olive oil to the boiling water, and cook the pasta according to package directions but about 2 minutes shorter. When the pasta is al dente, drain it in a colander.

In a large saucepan, melt the Deutsche Marken Butter over medium heat and whisk the flour for 2 minutes till you have a light golden texture without clumps. Whisk till it smells nutty. Now, pour the Kalleh Full-Fat Milk gently into the pan and whisk nicely. Allow the sauce to come to a simmer.

Step 6

When the sauce bubbles and looks thick and smooth, decrease the heat, add the shredded Kalleh Chili Gouda Cheese, and stir till it melts. Season with salt, pepper, and turn off the heat.

Step 7

Now, add the cooked, drained pasta, and shrimp mixture into the cheesy sauce. Stir with a wooden spoon until everything is thoroughly combined and distributed.

Butter the bottom and sides of a casserole dish, then pour the pasta into it. Top the pasta with some more shredded chili Gouda cheese, some parsley, and green onion. Or you can prepare a great mixture of panko breadcrumbs and butter and sprinkle over this delicious meal.

Cooking Notes

If you want your Mac and Cheese to be creamier with a richer flavor, you can add 35% heavy cream before adding the cheeses in step 6.

You can change or add to the type of cheese in this dish, but chili Gouda gives the shrimps a savory and mouth-watering taste, matched with the smoked paprika smell.
