  • 500 grams Pasta (elbow, macaroni, cellentani, or any other pasta)
  • 2/3 cupPanko breadcrumbs
  • 100 gramsButter
  • 4 clovesGarlic(crushed)

  • 1 cupGrated Parmesan cheese (divided)
  • 170 grams Mozzarella cheese (sliced)

There is a variety of pasta so that we can cook a lot of different food from them. One one of them is macaroni! Macaroni and Cheese (Mac and Cheese) is the best choice, and It is almost popular with people all over the world, especially Americans. It is so delicious and also takes less time to prepare.
I have a delicious homemade mac and cheese recipe that has been flavored with garlic and Parmesan cheese. There is a perfect combination of macaroni, parmesan cheese, and garlic. Once you taste this garlic parmesan mac and cheese, you will say goodbye to any macaroni, and say hello to this dreamy mac and cheese again and again.


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 190°C.

Step 2

Prepare a pot of water to boil. Add a little salt. When boiling, add pasta and cook it for 1 minute less than the pocket direction time. Remove the pasta from the pot, drain and rinse with cold water; set aside.

Step 3

Transfer two tablespoons of butter to a pan and melt over medium-high heat. Put the panko breadcrumbs in the pan, stir to cook until becoming golden brown, set aside.

Step 4

For making the sauce first melt 1/4 cup of butter in the saucepan. Add the garlic and fry for about 1 minute. Whisk the flour and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Pour 4 cups of milk slowly, whisk very well to combine until seeing bubbles around the saucepan’s sides.

Step 5

In a different saucepan, mix the cornstarch and remaining milk; whisk until the white sauce become thick. Season with salt and pepper and the bouillon powder.

Step 6

Remove the white sauce from heat, and add 3/4 cup of parmesan cheese, the cheddar cheese, and the mozzarella slices. Stir until all melted completely. Transfer the pasta into a bowl and mix with all the sauce.

Step 7

Sprinkle the top of the pasta with Panko and the remaining Parmesan cheese. Put the bowl in the oven, grill for about 10-15 minutes. Serve your garlic Parmesan mac and cheese warm and enjoy!

Cooking Notes

Use your favorite cheese such as Mozzarella, Gouda, smoked Gouda, Swiss, Monterey jack, Colby jack, Colby.

You can add extra cheese to your garlic Parmesan mac and cheese.

Don’t overcook milk because it burns quickly, and burnt milk will affect on your flavor.

Be careful your pasta don’t become mushy, so boil the pasta less than you usually would.

Covered Mac and cheese tightly; thus, you can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
